| Dojo Etikette: Please Note:: To attend or watch a class you must first notify the dojo owner, as some classes are for advanced grades only, and therefore not open to the public. Training is open to men and women 15 years of age and above, regardless of fitness levels or previous martial arts experience.
• Class fees are due at the start of the month for the month. This is due to the fact that the hall must be paid for regardless of how many students turn up, a month in advance.
• Students who are absent for more than 6 weeks and have not informed the instructor they will be missing will be deemed to have resigned from the Bujinkan. It only takes a text to let me know that you can’t make it or your going to be late. You can phone me, send an e-mail, or even an SMS will do.
• Uniforms should be kept clean and ironed, and belts must be worn!
• Wash your hands before you begin training.
• Students from the Bujinkan Dojo Wels who train in other Bujinkan Dojo must remember that when you are in someone else’s Dojo that you represent my Dojo, so manners and respect are required regardless of your grade.
• If you are training in someone else’s Dojo notify me, so I can clear it with the other instructor. This is Bujinkan etiquette.
• Students who accept grades from anyone else but from the Dojo Wels, are regarded to have resigned and deemed to no longer be in my classes. With the exception of Dr. Hatsumi Sensei or one of the Japanese Shihan of course.
• If money is a problem talk to me and don’t just not turn up.
• Remember that everyone is equal regardless of rank. If you have a problem with someone or something in the Dojo please phone me or send me an e-mail. Please do not discuss personal issues in front of the other students.
• Leave your personal or emotional problems at the door, it will still be there for you when you are finished class.
• Try to arrive at least 10 minutes before class starts.
• Please bow when entering and leaving the dojo.
• Do not talk while any instructor is teaching. Please kneel or squat.
• Do not leave the Dojo or drink during Training. For this reason we have drink breaks.
• Please respect your fellow students.
• Do not make judgments about others - only judge yourself.
• Do not discuss personal issues or political issues in training or "bad-mouth" others. As Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi once said: "Shut up and train!"
• Do not handle to your own advantage.
• Do not try to teach or ask other students to teach you without instruction from the trainer.
• Mobile phones MUST be switched off before training.
• Strictly no photo or video allowed to be taken during class, seminar or camp, without prior written permission from the leading instructor of the dojo. Concentration in training should be of formost importance!
• Furthermore, please pay attention to the Bujinkan Guidelines.
• Smile :-)
